In 1931 Reginald Joseph Mitchell imagined this seaplane for the sole purpose of winning the famous trophy Schneider.
It was powered by a Rolls-Royce CV 2600, and brought with JH Boothmann flying the coveted trophy to England while beating the world speed record with over 547.22 km / h average.
This when 11em and final race counting for the award of the Schneider Trophy.
